The residents of the mansion

Drain Mansion is full of demons who would rather catch you than kill you. These are the ones you will meet on your way out.

Every room in the mansion has its keeper. The enemies in Drain Mansion are not grunts you fight and forget; each one has its own look, its own behavior and its own hand-drawn scene for the moment it catches you. With more than forty unique enemy scenes across the game, no two captures feel the same.

The succubi

Succubi make up most of the mansion's population, and they come in several varieties. You will meet the Brown Succubus early, a patient hunter who prefers to corner her prey. The Green Succubus moves through the gardens and greenhouses with a poisonous smile. The Pink Succubus favors the decorated upper floors and plays with her food a little before feeding. The Purple Succubus is the quickest of the family, and the Dark Succubus is the most dangerous, drifting through the blackest hallways where you can barely see her coming.

Each succubus has a simple patrol pattern, which is what makes them fair to play against: learn the route, time your move, and slip past. The moment they spot you, the chase is on, and if they catch you, the scene plays out and your life force takes a hit. Getting caught is not the end of the game, but it is always expensive.

Demons and other horrors

The succubi are not alone. The mansion also hosts a Closet Demon that bursts out of the furniture it hides in, a Slime that oozes across floors and blocks entire passages, a Troll with a slow, heavy patrol you cannot simply outrun, and a Vampire whose territory on the upper floors turns every shadow into a hiding spot question. Each one needs a different approach, which keeps the platforming honest: you cannot memorize one trick and use it on everyone.

S

Brown Succubus

The first resident you are likely to meet. Patient, methodical, and always somewhere between you and the exit.

S

Green Succubus

At home among the mansion's plants. Her patrols wind through the greener rooms and she strikes when you think you are safe.

S

Pink Succubus

Prefers the decorated upper floors. Slower than her sisters, but her scenes are some of the most elaborate in the game.

S

Purple Succubus

The fastest of the family. If you spot a purple tail ahead, find cover before she turns around.

D

Dark Succubus

The most dangerous hunter in the house. She patrols the darkest hallways where your eyes struggle to keep up.

D

Closet Demon

Hides inside the mansion's furniture and leaps out when you pass. Listen for the creak before you open anything.

The Succubus Lord

At the top of the mansion's food chain sits the Succubus Lord, the one who runs the house and decides which rooms you are allowed to reach. She is not a boss fight in the classic sense. Instead, she tests you through the building itself, guiding you down the correct doors and watching when you choose wrong. Fail to enter the right doors and you will be trapped, and the Succubus Lord gets served your life force on a silver platter.

Her presence is felt more than seen. The architecture of the mansion, the placement of its traps, the patience of its patrols, all of it is her design. Meeting her directly is one of the moments the game builds toward, and her scenes rank among the best hand-drawn work in the game. For players who want to see everything she has to offer, the two endings give you a reason to walk her hallways more than once.
